Who can I donate used appliances to?
Consider helping those in need by donating your used appliances to one of the charities below.
- The Salvation Army. With thrift stores located throughout North America, The Salvation Army can schedule a pickup from the thrift store nearest you.
- St. Vincent de Paul.
- Habitat for Humanity.
Can you donate appliances to Goodwill?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept certain items including but not limited to: Large household appliances. Stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, water heaters. Goodwill does not sell these items in the stores and there are strict ordinances concerning their disposal.
Can you donate appliances to charity?
If you’ve got old appliances and want to give them to someone in need, many charities can fix or clean them up and sell or reuse them. Most organizations accepting big and small appliance donations have specific guidelines for donation drop-off or pickup, so be sure to contact them before loading up the goods.
Does Habitat for Humanity take appliances?
Yes, most Habitat ReStores offer pickup of furniture donations, as well as other large items including appliances, building materials and more.
